Lifelong Learning Program

Authors and Artists

Monthly workshops are presented for Lakeshore Gardens residents on the third Sunday of each month. View the calendar, The Breeze and resident email for current workshop details and reservation information.

Residents interested in sharing their knowledge, skills or expertise by presenting a workshop are encouraged to contact J.J. Sawyer 858-255-9175

Lakeshore Gardens is home to many talented artists and authors.

Residents can visit displays in the Atrium/Laundry Room and the Conference Room within the Fireside Room, and can also view featured books and artwork on our website.

Community Support

Sunshine Ladies

Pat Lister and Lorna Luine provide a little ray of sunshine for Lakeshore Gardens residents on birthdays and during hospital stays, rehabilitation, or recuperation.

If you know a neighbor who could use a kind thought and a card, please let Pat know.

Greeting card donations may be placed in the marked box in the library.

Help Feed and Clothe the Homeless

Friends and neighbors can help feed and clothe the homeless by donating needed items. Clothing, clean and in good repair (nothing fancy), hats and underwear, toiletries of all kinds and cosmetics, canned and nonperishable foods, granola bars, plastic razors, combs, toothbrushes, socks, paper goods, backpacks, sleeping bags, duffel bags, blankets, pillows, and towels are welcome.

Easy drop-off: Leave donations at 7242 Santa Barbara at any time. If no one is home, just leave them on the porch.
